Musette Bicycles and Coffee opened its doors in 2017, becoming the first bicycle café in Bordeaux. It was founded by Robert Lawrence (American) and Christopher Cooley (British): two cycling enthusiasts who had visited bicycle cafés back home and decided to bring the concept to Bordeaux.

Musette was designed to be a place to drink a good coffee, get your bike repaired or buy a new one, and also to be a meeting place for the Bordeaux cycling community. Since then, Musette has expanded by welcoming new team members; what hasn't changed is the community spirit and the fact that the shop remains proudly independent.

Why Musette?

Musette is a technical cycling term used in both French and English to refer to the shoulder bag given to cyclists during races. It's filled with everything a cyclist might need to rehydrate and maintain high energy levels. Just like our shop!

They're talking about us

"Earlier this fall, Brother Cycles teamed up with the Musette bike shop in Bordeaux on a two-day, one-night group campout packed full of gravel and quaint French villages."

“Thanks to Rob and everyone at and around Musette during our stay. I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of this amazing community soon…”

"At Musette, staff are experts in the field of coffee and bikes, so don't forget to pick up any insider cycling tips before setting off on your bike for the afternoon."

Musette loves gravel bikes. We're happy to know that we can come here to talk about this versatile bike. " But here we repair and maintain all bikes: road bikes, vintage bikes, mountain bikes, ... our workshop covers all needs ... ", explains Rob. We saw Genesis bikes but you have to go meet Rob and Chris to discuss your project and thus be able to find the bike that will suit you best.
